Haley Hughes is a rising sophomore at Belmont University where she is studying Music Business. She started swimming at 9 years old for the Bartlett Barracudas, then joined Academy Bullets Swim Club as well. She then was a varsity swimmer at St. Francis High School and was captain of the team her senior year. She’s been a lifeguard and a swim instructor for Bartlett and Carol Stream. Haley is super excited to coach this team along with two fellow Barracuda alumni, and very good friends, Abby and Anna! She hopes to help the Bartlett Barracudas grow in this unprecedented season as much as they can. She looks forward to showing positivity, grit, and having so much fun!
Abby is a sophomore at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee where she is studying math and psychology. She is on the varsity swim team for Rhodes, specializing in sprint freestyle and breaststroke. She was also a 4 year varsity swimmer for Bartlett High School and swam for the Academy Bullets Swim Club. Abby has been swimming for 14 years (12 years on the Bartlett Barracudas), and cannot wait to continue working with barracudas but now as a coach. She is looking forward to creating a fun and welcoming team atmosphere, promoting positivity, and inspiring kids to continue swimming throughout their life.
Anna just finished up her freshman year at Indiana University where she is studying Sports Media. She was a varsity swimmer for South Elgin High School and also swam summers for the Bartlett Barracudas, and winters for the Carol Stream Dolphins in her 10 years in the sport. She is a swim instructor and lifeguard at the Bartlett Park District, where she has been employed since 2018. Anna is excited to have a fun season, while still training hard.
